Buddy Gorman

Charles J. "Buddy" Gorman (September 2, 1921 – April 1, 2010) is an American
stage and movie actor who became famous for portraying a member of the comedy teams, The East Side Kids and The Bowery Boys
. Prior to acting he tried out for the Brooklyn Dodgers farm team, the Montreal Royals, as a shortstop. However, his small stature (5'5") prevented him from being signed.
Upon his retirement he and his wife Rosemary ran a magic shop in Los Angeles called Fun-N-Stuff. As of 2009, Gorman was living in a retirement home in Rochester, NY.
He died on April 1, 2010 in Webster, New York at the age of 88.
