's bad side when he burns his arm and gets Tracey to steal him nursing gear to heal it. Hunter disowns him.
Brodie reappears in July, when Hunter cheats on a test and Medical School find out, Brodie takes the fall and claims he was the one that cheated. Brodie is expelled and he starts to flat with Hunter and new girl Penny
. Brodie grows attracted to Penny, but Penny chooses Hunter. Penny and Hunter get annoyed when Brodie charges them huge amounts over their rent. Brodie took up a job at The IV and owner, Kieran Mitchell
promotes him to manager. Kieran dies a week later, leaving the bar in Brodie's hands under Sophie
's watchful eye.
New receptionist Bella Cooper develops a crush on Brodie but Brodie falls in love with Sophie. After humiliating Bella, Brodie eventually decided to give a relationship with Bella a go. He doesn't get on with Bella's mother, Wendy
or father, Murray however. Murray gets hired at the bar and disapproves of Brodie's work manner. They get over their feud for the good of Bella and soon become good friends.
Brodie decides to buy The IV with Murray but when his sister declines a loan, he is forced to get money from loan sharks.
. Brodie warns Bella off Isaac and they too soon break up. Brodie admits the truth to Bella and the two continue their relationship.
Bella accidentally makes Brodie fall down the stairs, having canceled ACC, he can not afford the medical bills for his fractured shoulders. Brodie is forced to admit he took out a loan to Murray who buys him out of the bar in disgust.
Brodie hears that new bad boy Regan Ames is terminally ill, and kindly agrees to transport goods for him. However after receiving the goods, he learns they are class A drugs. Regan secretly steals them from Brodie, which results in a dangerous drug lord going after Brodie. Bella agrees to skip the country with him but when Brodie learns the drug lord will kill him if he finds him, Brodie ditches the country, leaving Bella a note saying he loves her.
