. It appears on the Nichols U.S. Geological Survey map. Briarton is a small community that began as a Belgian settlement. Today, there is little economic activity in the community; however, there is a steel shop in town. Recently, there has been new growth in Briarton with new houses being built every year.

Transportation

Briarton is located at the intersection of Wisconsin Highway 156 and Old State Highway 47 Road. Hwy 156 is a well traveled highway and indirectly connects Briarton with larger cities. Briarton can also be reached by snowmobile trail during the winter months as trails run into town.
