. The band primarily plays celtic music with an Irish emphasis. In 2007 the band became a 501c3 non-profit. They have approx. 20 members and a dozen students. Their uniforms consist of the saffron kilt, black tunic, and black cabeen (beret) with green or red plumes and are modeled after traditional Irish pipe bands. A number of the band members wear the original brass buttons from uniforms of the Irish Volunteers

The band was established in 1962. In 2002 they released the Brian Boru Irish Pipe Band 40th Anniversary CD.
