. It is located in N'zi-Comoé Region. Bocanda is the seat of a regional prefecture. The town also has a small regional medical center, a mayor's office, an active marketplace, a gas station, a high school and five primary schools. The traditional residents are of the Baule tribe, however there is also a large Dioula and immigrant population. The town has a catholic church, several protestant churches and a mosque.
