 clan, he settles several disputes between the people with his impartial judgments, before the Table of Justice - the sacred sword fixed to a huge tree trunk. Gopi, his brother falls in love with Kasturi (Jayasudha).

Rayudu (Rao Gopalrao) is a wicked man who wants to occupy the chair of village head. Rayudu does many crimes such as bus hijack to earn riches. One day Bullebbai (Satyanarayana), son of Rayudu molests Jayasudha's friend named Swarajyam (Krishnaveni) in a graveyard. Gopi saves Swarajyam and brings the culprit to the table of justice. Brahmanna gives a justice that Rayudu should marry Swarajyam whom he molested. Rayudu performs abortion for his pregnant daughter-in-law.

Rayudu creates a slander that Brahmanna is having an illegal affair with a woman by name Suseela (Annapurna) staying in a hut at the outskirts of the village. Brahmanna reveals to his family and Rayudu that the woman whom he is looking after is the wife of a wrongfully accused man who was dead because of his justice.

Rajeswari (Aruna Mucherla), daughter of Brahmanna falls in love with Rambabu (Rajesh), Suseelama's son. Brahmanna agrees for the marriage of Rajeswari with Rambabu. In happiness Rajeswari goes to swing the cradle under a tree. Rayudu makes Rajeswari to fall on a man from the cradle. Rayudu creates a slander that the man was blinded because of Rajeswari. Brahmanna gives a justice that Rajeswari should marry the blind man. Gopi performs secret marriage between Rambabu and Rajeswari. Aggravated Brahmanna exiles Gopi from the village. Suseelamma comes to know the plan of Rayudu and informs to Brahmanna.

At the climax, Brahmanna takes out the powerful sword from the tree and slays the head of Rayudu at the hills in a chase. The movie ends with the police arresting Brahmanna.
