He also serves on the Labor & Workforce Development, Military & Veterans' Affairs, and Public Safety Finance Subcommittees, for the 26th Legislature. Representative Lynn has a wife: Marlene, six children: Debra, Bob Jr., Robyn, Mary, Marla and John, nineteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Bob Lynn was born in East Los Angeles, California, where he graduated from the Garfield High School

. He is also a 1968 graduate of the "Education with Industry" program of the Air University. In 1984, Representative Lynn was one of the founders of the City of Moreno Valley, Riverside County, California, and served Moreno Valley as a City Councilman and Mayor Pro-Tem. He moved from California to Alaska in 1995. Rep. Lynn is a Past-President of Alaska Right to Life. At the 2008 Republican National Convention, he was a voting delegate from the State of Alaska. His principal hobbies are photography and family history.
