Bob Cohen was a prolific Iranian film producer in the years prior to the country's Islamic Revolution. From 1954 to 1979, Cohen produced several dozen films, many of which were financed directly by the government, then under the monarchy of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. Like many of Iran's artists and entertainers from the 1970s, Cohen went into exile during the revolution and much of his work has since faded into obscurity. He died of cancer in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center
