Studio recording was completed at the end of October 2009, mixing was completed on the first of February 2010 by Rich Costey
. Mastering was completed by Howie Weinberg

On February 16, 2010 they announced their new album would be titled "Blue Sky Noise", and would be released on April 20, 2010. The album was available for preorder, and those who did so received a digital copy of the full Deluxe Version one week before the album's release, along with "Get Out" immediately upon preorder. Circa Survive started filming a music video for "Get Out" on February 24 in New York City. On March 30, Circa Survive released "Imaginary Enemy" on their website.
As with Circa Survive's previous two albums, the album artwork was created by Esao Andrews
.
There are four other songs not included in the track list that Circa Survive has stated would be released separately from the album.
The album was ranked #9 on Myspace.com's Top 50 albums of 2010.
