. It is a 6 miles (9.7 km) square, 34.91 mi2 is land and 0.09 square mile (0.2330989299 km²) is water. Its population in the 2000 Census was 6,071. It has 2,103 housing units. Most of its land use is agricultural.

The major part of the village of Elburn and a small part of the village of North Aurora are incorporated villages in Blackberry Township. The rest belongs to unincorporated Kane County.

La Fox is a small, unincorporated village in Blackberry Township on the train line to Chicago.
