Bitburg American High School (generally referred to as BHS), originally opened in 1956, is part of the Kaiserslautern School District and has a student population of approximately 250 with a faculty of thirty-two. It is situated in Rhineland-Palatinate

Bitburg High School was one of the first schools in DoDDS (Department of Defense Dependent Schools) to successfully implement and maintain a Block Scheduling

Bitburg High School is fully accredited by the North Central Association for Colleges and Schools. The Athletic program is continuously improving. There is interscholastic competition for boys and girls during these three seasons. All athletes must abide by the Bitburg HS Athletic code.
