During his career in professional baseball, he hit 11 home runs in 274 games, walked 161 times in four years, and struck out 113 times. In 2005, he was named the Tampa Bay Devil Rays bench coach. Evers has compiled a 1,381-1,206 (.534) record, which is the second most wins among active minor league managers.
