English achieved national attention for his comedic work in two major national TV commercial campaigns, for Kellogg's Raisin Bran Crunch and T-Mobile. In the advertisements for Kellogg's Raisin Bran Crunch he plays "Johnson," an oblivious, cereal-munching office worker who infuriates his boss. In the first spot created for T-Mobile, entitled "Secret Lovers," he plays a duped boyfriend furious that his best friend has been bumped up to one of his girlfriend's "myFaves" favorite five callers.
