Bhitiais a village 20 km far from district headquarter Banka in Bihar. It is full of greenery and famous for its beautiful hills. The village has a big talab which attracts huge number of immigrant birds.It is said that in ancient times once veteran writer Rahul Sankrityayan visited this village. The distance of this village to GANGA is only 30 km. This area was most sensitive during British period. This area mad a number of leaders and freedom fighter. The naiyasi tola of this area is the village of Congress leader Jai Prakash Mishra. Bhitia is the village of famous Homeopathic doctor late Dr. Rameshwar Mishra. Entire locality remember him for his social service.This region represents rich tribal habitat on the map of bihar.One of the most distinctive feature of the region is its proximity from Deoghar (one among the 12 jyotirlinga's).The linking Road of "Dakshinvahini ganga" and "Babadham Deoghar" is 5 km away from this village. There is a famous KALI Temple in the center of Village headquarters. Many pilgrims visited here to worship MAA KALI. On the occasion of DIPAWALI,A famous Mela is organised here. Kedia village of this locality having a famous old tree known as Dubethan. People of this locality came here for treatment after snake attack. .Veteran journalist Kamlesh Singh was born and brought up in the by-lanes of this village.
