The ground was also used in first-class cricket by the Gentlemen of Kent, who first played there in 1842 against the Gentlemen of England. From 1842 to 1846, the ground held 5 first-class matches for the Gentlemen of Kent. All 5 of their first-class matches there involved them playing the Gentlemen of England. The 1986 fixture between the sides was the final recorded match on the ground.

The exact location of the ground is unknown, but it was most likely off the Sturry Road.
