. The district is composed of seven schools, of which all are located in the village of Bethalto except for one. The district is composed of two primary schools, two intermediate schools, one middle school, and two high schools. Students attending the unified school district begin their educations at either Bethalto East Primary School or Parkside Primary School, which serve students within the prekindergarten-third grade range; the principals of each school are, respectively, Karen Harris and Kim Heinz. Students between grades four and five attend Bethalto West Intermediate School, which is headed by principal Todd Hannaford, or Meadowbrook Intermediate School, which outside Bethalto in nearby Moro Township
