Mississippi 8 Conference
The Mississippi 8 Conference is a high school athletic conference in the greater Twin Cities area in Minnesota with 9 member high schools. The conference derives its name from 6 of the original 8 member schools being located within 10 miles from the Mississippi River...

, consisting of 8 other central Minnesota schools. The M8 schools include Saint Michael-Albertville, Cambridge-Isanti, Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose, Monticello, Rogers, Princeton, Big Lake, Becker, and Zimmerman. Becker is the second smallest school (Zimmerman being the smallest) in the Mississippi8. Starting in 2011, the Mississippi 8 Conference will be a 7 school conference which leaves out Princeton and Zimmerman.

The Bulldog football team completed the 2005 season undefeated and won the Class AAA State Championship.

As of 9-27-2010, Becker will remain in the Mississippi 8 Conference for the 2011-12 school year; Becker will be the smallest school in a pool of very large outer ring suburbs schools. In December 2010, Becker will make the decision whether to stay or leave the Mississippi 8 Conference.
Proposed Mississippi 8 Conference alignments could include schools such as St Cloud Apollo, St Cloud Tech, Sartell, Sauk Rapids-Rice, Rocori, Saint Francis, Alexandria, Willmar, Duluth East, Duluth Central, Grand Rapids, and Orono. In any case, Becker will remain the smallest school in a newly configured Mississippi 8.
If Becker elects to leave the large M8 conference in favor of a more desirable conference (in terms of population, demographics, and geographic location), it would be adjoined to Zimmerman, Princeton, Mora, Milaca, Foley, Little Falls and St Cloud Cathedral for most sports. This would allow for a much desired 8 team conference. In this new conference, Becker would be the 3rd largest school in the conference.
