Brignais
Brignais is a commune of the Rhône department in eastern France....

 was fought on 6 April 1362, between forces of the Kingdom of France under Jacques de Bourbon and the Free Companies, led by Petit Meschin and Seguin de Badefol. The French forces were besieging the town of Brignais, which had been seized by the Companies in March as an operating base, when they were attacked by forces which had been operating in the County of Forez

 and had marched to the relief of their comrades. The French army was destroyed and Jacques de Bourbon mortally wounded, dying later in Lyon
