Subdivisions

The Union Council is subdivided into the following areas: Band Pir Khan, Bandi Dhundan, Samesar and Tarnawai. Qalandarabad is the main junction of union council, Banda Pir Khan is the major village in the union council and they belong to great families. This village was declared a model village and with a 100% literacy rate.

Historically Bandi Pir Khan was part of old Mangal Ilaka (area) of Abbottabad Tehsil. Mangal Ilaka includes 12 large villages of which Banda Pir Khan, Baldheri, Bhandi dundhan, Turnawai, and Jalalpura were the largest. Jadoons (Hassazai), Awans, Tanolis, Gujar tribes reside in the present Banda Pir Khan union council of the old Mangal Ilaka.
