Through late 1980-s and early 1990-s he led his own death metal band Balvaz (firstly known as Braindead), where he had played guitar and sung vocals. In 1992, he started the new band, Disgusting, where he took the same place. The band released one full-length album, Shapeshiferbirthblues, in 1995. Some of unreleased Balvaz songs ended up as Disgusting songs.

In 1999 he joined the band Cadaver Inc.
