Company history

Established in 2008 as Bad Pony Productions, the company in its infancy produced a number of award winning short films and pilots for television, the most notable being the 2008 pilot for their gritty Ninety Eight Percent

 series starring Emma Ashby as lesbian gangster Casey Spencer. The pilot also starred Vivien Louise Taylor, Hannah Tiffin and Jordan McCurrach all who reprise their roles as Jenny, Chelsea and Mark in the series which is currently being produced. Ashby was unable to reprise her role due to commitments to another project.

The company has grown significantly since its conception, and Producer's have received notable kudos, industry praise and support for their efforts in championing new Scottish talent both in front of and behind the camera. B

1st Assistant Director/Producer Maureen Somerville was recently nominated for Television Freelancer of the Year, in the inaugural Production Base awards 2010.
