The radio version contains re-worked and additional lyrics, a new instrumental arrangement, as well as a dance break down. The radio version was released on the re-release of Gotta Tell You in the USA and overseas.
The single was first released in the USA in April 2001 to radio, and was later commercially released overseas in September 2001. In the USA the song was titled "Baby, Come Over (This Is Our Night)"; internationally, the song's title was kept the same as the original, "Baby Come on Over". It was rumored the song's title was changed due to confusion with Christina Aguilera
's single "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)
".
