, which this hall was named after, was a notable politician, philanthropist and icon in Nigeria. As an indication of honour, students in Awolowo Hall see themselves in the light of the legacies Chief Obafemi Awolowo left behind.

Known to be the most populous, it also has attached to it various activities that depict student life. As it neighbours Angola and Mozambique halls, it is a melting pot of students from various halls and it is known as the base for student activities.
