The Australian Academy of Design is a not-for-profit private school of design based in Port Melbourne. A Government-recognised Higher Education Provider (HEP), it is one of only two Australian higher education institutions to deliver a Bachelor of Design Arts, and offers major studies in Advertising, Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Photo Media and Visual Arts.

Background

The Academy was inaugurated by the Australian Academy of the Arts in 1998. The President of the Senate, its governing body, is Professor Daryl Le Grew (former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Tasmania). The Academy's Patron is renowned Australian designer Ken Cato.
