. The location is 7 km northeast of Augsburg Downtown. The number of passengers in 2005 was about 48,000. After 2005 passenger traffic was relocated to Munich Airport, leaving the Augsburg region of Bavaria without an air passenger airport within close reach. Since then, the airport is still used for general aviation
