 education. ACT came into existence in 2002 to further the aims of citizenship teaching and learning. ACT champions the teaching of citizenship to all young people and offers direct support to classroom practitioners in England and Wales.

ACT aims to connect its members to local and regional networks and works with the Department for Children, Schools and Families

ACT encourages Citizenship teachers and coordinators, primary teachers and others involved in Citizenship education such as community police officers, MPs, councillors etc to become members of ACT.
