Asima is said to have ordered the klurichir known as the Guardian of the Gates to hold the Grand Abyss in ancient days, and the demon still carries this out.

Asima is thought to have played a part the creation of the Grand Abyss.

Asima's undecaying remains are held in the burial mound known as the Tumulus of Abhorrence, which is defended by the Guardian of the Gates.
