However Dr. Thomas appeared to be helping Michael heal mentaly and know that he did'nt kill Aj. However Michael was hypnotized by Dr. Thomas inorder for michel to think he was the one who killed Aj. It was unknown at the time who really killed Aj but it was revealed later that it was Dr. Thomas. Michael was so confused that he created an imaginary friend named Jodie to help him figure out the truth of Aj's death

The Past in 1996

In the year 1996 Aj Quartermaine hired Dr. Asher Thomas to kill Jason Quartermaine. As a result Dr. Thomas tried to kill Jason Quartermaine yet only changed him permanently from the Doctor in training to a Mob enforcer working for Mob boss Sonny Corinthos. In 2005 all of this information was revealed. In that year Aj Quaretermaine kidnaped his son Michael Corinthos III

. however michael foun Jason and Aj was there at the house in which Aj and Jason then got in a deady fist fight on the stairs and then both of them fell off the stairs and on to the floor and are both hospitalized. Giving Dr. Thomas the chance to kill Aj quartermaine by suffocating him with a pillow in the hospital bed because he knew too much. He also killed Aj's girlfriend Rachel Adair by injecting her with digitalswww.soapcentral.com/gh/whoswho/aj.php

Dr. Thomas attacks

When people figure out that Dr. Thomas is Aj's murderer Dr. Thomas try's to make an escape by holding Samantha McCall hostage holding a saringe of digitals up to her neck. Sam try's to talk him out of killing her in which he does'nt listen and takes her hostege and right before he reaches a helicopter he injects Sam with the digitals and then makes a run for it. However Jason arrives just in time to rush Sam to the hospital and her life is saved. Meanwhile Dr. Thomas enters the Quartermaine mansion and ties Alan Quartermaine to a chair and forces Monica Quartermaine to get him out of town by making arrangements on the phone. Alan calls him insane and he hits Alan. Jason Morgan then arrives to stop Dr. thomas. However Dr. thomas grabs Monica and holds her hostage and then try's to convince Jason not to kill him and that it was Alan who hied him to kill Jason. However Jason does'nt by it and shoots Dr. Thomas in the heart in which Dr. Thomas then collasepd dead on the floor. >abc.go.com/shows/general-hospital
