International play

Abramov has played for Estonia at a number of international ice hockey events. The first one that he participated in was the world U-18 championships. In 2006 he led Estonia to the second place in Group A of Division II, followed up by 3rd in Group B in 2008, respectively. He played 10 total games over the course of these two tournaments, scoring two goals, no assists, and collecting 22 penalty minutes. He has also played for Estonia in three U-20 championships, better known as the WJHC. Abramov played in Division 2 at the 2008 WJHC, and excelled. He had one goal and three assists in five games, fairly good offensive numbers for a defenseman. The defenseman picked up 10 penalty minutes in the tournament as well. At 6 in 3 in (190.5 cm) and 194 pounds (88 kg), he played for the U-20 team again at the 2009 championships. This time his statistics were not as impressive, because Estonia had got itself into Division 1. In that tournament Abramov collected only one assist and two penalty minutes in three games, and they returned to Division 2. In that tournament, his 3rd and final, he did well again, scoring twice and getting an assist over a five-game span. He also had six penalty minutes.
