Arkat's primary goal is to publish Arkivoc with a view to promoting the dissemination of the most recent discoveries and research results in the field of organic chemistry over worries of escalating subscription costs of established scientific journals. The impact factor of this journal is 1.096 (2010) and was ranked 34th in ranking of organic chemistry journals in 2010.
