. He trained the younger members of the crew including Quentin Leah and Ahren Elessedil. He also led the Elves warriors. He was respected member of the crew and well liked. Tamis who was an Elves huntress was in love secretly with Ard Patrinell. But their love met a tragic end when after he was transformed into a Wronk by Antrax to seek out the magical sword that belonged to Quentin Leah. Despite being mutilated physically and unable to control his own actions, Ard Patrinell's conciseness was locked up in the cyborg creature (Wronk). This was betrayed by his eyes.

The Ard Patrinell wronk was defeated after engaging Tamis and Quentin Leah in a battle to the death. It was a heartbreaking ending for Quentin as he had to kill his mentor and friend. To top the irony of the situation, Tamis who loved Ard Patrinell also met her doom in the battle.
