She also won the gold medal for the inaugural Women's Ski Slopestyle at Winter X Games 13 at Buttermilk Mountain on 24 January 2009 in Aspen, Colorado. .Her first major win in slopestyle was the first Women's US Freeskiing Open at Copper Mountain, USA, 2007.
Segal's home mountain is Mount Buller in Victoria Australia, where she trained with Team Buller initially in moguls and subsequently in freeride skiing.She was a member of the NSWIS/SSA National Development mogul team 2003-2005 and competed in several Europa cup Mogul events during that time. her podiumsin 2004 included - 1st and 3rd Europa Cups, Single Moguls, Italy;1st Italian Cup, Single Moguls;2nd Europa Cup, Czech Republic, Dual Moguls;1st Czech Cup, Single Moguls; and 3rd Europa Cup, France, Dual Moguls.
