He provided a different perspective then those written by the local news media and we would often attend the yearly gatherings of fans who paid tribute to Shakur at the spot where he was shot. Shortly after he starting with dailymix.com Andrew started several online music newsletters and a website covering the mostly ignored Las Vegas music scene. but Andrew covered the artists who were lesser known and often without a recording contract. He ran the website (LVRR) until late 2000 and at one point the site, receiving several million hits was the most popular source for independent Las Vegas music.

Music promotion

Through his writing on music, Romanelli came in contact with many independent/underground artists and he began promoting their music and ghostwriting several songs. He assisted in getting their records in local Las Vegas stores and stores throughout the west coast. He also assisted in getting them gigs, meetings with smaller record execs, bringing exposure to artist as far away as London, England.

Use of pseudonyms

Romanelli often and still does to this day, use pseudonyms. When asked about this in an interview with Kevin Riley of Summerlin Review, Romanelli said

"My writing style and the subjects I write about are not just confined to a few areas, and I noticed when people would read an article I wrote about a political issue that they disagreed with, they would just ignore anything else I wrote no matter what it was about. When I started writing under different pen names, I found that the same people critical of an Article I authored, would absolutely praise another one and have no idea it was written by the same person"

He went on to say

"I found that very interesting, people love to hold their prejudices but don't like to admit it. so I continued to do it and have grown very fond of my various 'fake names."

Recognition

Andrew Romanelli has been praised by readers as a writer of the people. Fans note his 'finger on the pulse' of whatever issue he undertakes. Romanelli has said that he still works the odd job in various fields and although he considers himself very private, he often mingles in public. When asked In an interview about his sporadic absences from published writing and if he secludes himself he said

"I think seclusion and isolation can be very harmful to a writer, or anyone for that matter. You begin to lose touch with reality and your readers, and only start appealing to your inner circle. However, you have to keep a balance, if your always out there then you start conforming and lose your individuality. People are social creatures by nature, and I follow the belief that isolation should be used in small doses"
