History

Andrew Marc, founded in 1981*, began with the introduction of a fur-lined lambskin bomber jacket that immediately became the cornerstone to the company’s success. Soon thereafter the collection evolved into a diversified leather, wool and cloth outerwear company.

In 1984 Andrew Marc created the secondary line Marc New York by Andrew Marc, serving as an entry point into the brand. The aesthetic is consistent combining quality materials and essential brand details to a younger demographic at slightly more affordable prices.

Marc Moto, a Rebel Division of Andrew Marc, is the newest brand offering by Andrew Marc. Announced June 2010, Jones Apparel Group, Inc. won the license to manufacture and distribute this heritage collection with a fresh point of view.

Currently Andrew Marc and Marc New York labels can be found in products for men’s and ladies such as soft leather goods, handbags, belts, travel bags, dresses and cold weather accessories.

Distribution

Andrew Marc is positioned in the luxury tier with individual items ranging from $495–$2000 and are sold in upscale department stores such as Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdales, Harry Rosen and Holt Renfrew. The collection is also available in specialty stores nationwide. Marc New York styles range from $350 – $1000 and are available in Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Lord & Taylor, Dillard’s, Von Maur and The Bon Ton.

A modern luxury outerwear collection for men and women developed by Andrew Marc Schwartz and Suzanne Schwartz, the founders and original creators of the andrew marc brand, SAM. New York is the first line to be launched by the design duo since selling Andrew Marc in 2004. SAM. New York – which debuts fall 2010 at select retailers is high-end outerwear designed for the fashion-forward consumer. The new outerwear collection can be seen online at SAM New York.
