He has also authored highly cited research papers on the epistemology of physics, educational experimentation, and constructivist analysis of knowledge, and the book Changing Minds: Computers, Learning, and Literacy (MIT Press, 2000). He also created the Boxer Programming Environment, with Hal Abelson of MIT.
