Early life

Andrea Leon was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, to an Ecuadoran father and Uruguayan mother. She spent her formative years traveling between Australia, South America and Canada with her family. While in Ecuador, she won several beauty pageants. However, at the age of six her parents were forced to leave the country as political refugees and moved to Toronto, where she began studying at the Young People's Theater. Upon her return to Australia, Andrea enrolled at the Actors College in Sydney where she studied under famed acting coach Sandra Lee Patterson and acclaimed actor John Noble
