). During the final war with between the Lamanites and the Nephites, Amoron reported to Mormon that the Lamanites had taken men, women, and children prisoner from the tower of Sherrizah. The narrative goes on to state that the Lamanites forced the women to eat the flesh of their dead husbands, a practice that Mormon decries as "abominable".
