is a Japanese singer. She had her debut in 1982 as part of the folk duo with the single Matsu-wa that became a success in Japan. The duo disbanded in 1984, and Okamura started a successful solo career in 1985. By 2006, she had released 15 original albums and 30 singles...

 and Haruko Kato that debuted in 1982 with their hit "Matsuwa (待つわ)". They disbanded quickly, however in November 1983. A reformation and a new album is planned for summer 2007.

Actually, the new cd in 2007 is called "In the prime" for the 25th anniversary.
