. This village is situated at NH 47
on the way to Kanyakumari. Amaravila is located on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border. It is around 3 km from Neyyattinkara. Situated on the banks of Neyyar River, this town is noted for its religious integration, where a mosque (Amaravila Juma Masjid), church (CSI Church) and a temple are lying near to one another.
Amaravila CSI church is one of the major attraction of the place. Started as a small congregation in 1810, currently it is the largest CSI church in Kerala with 3 services

It was modernised in 1895. Recently the extension works and building of a new bell-tower of the church has been completed and inaugurated on March 7, 2010. The church has a shopping complex and a community hall along with it. The church conducts yearly convention which attracts largest crowd in south Kerala.
The Amaravila CSI Church is now getting ready to celebrate one year long Bicentenary Celebrations, which is proposed to be inaugurated in 3 October 2010 (03-10-2010)
It has five educational institutions on the premises- The CSI English Medium School, Govt Aided LMS LP School, LMS High school, LMS Higher Secondary School and the CSI Teachers Training Institute in the compound.
