, (with Alex Neil playing most every game) compared to their current form, having only won two games of the 2010-2011 season, now and for most of the season been at the bottom of the table. Alex Neil has been injured for most of this season and it is not confirmed when he will be back. Speaking to journalists though, due to the pain, he may never play football again after the season ends. This comes as a result of his injury which has kept him out all season. He said that he was in bearable, but constant pain when he played his first game this season.

He is a fan favorite to many of the Accies supporters. Neil won the Scottish First Division with Accies in 2008 alongside 20 year old James McCarthy and 23 year old, Scotland National Football Team
