Foods

Al Ghurair Foods entered the foods industry sector in 1976 through the creation of National Flour Mills. Since that time, a diversified portfolio of food products has been developed and the market reach expanded regionally and internationally. Growing from a small flour mill to a technologically advanced, multi-product manufacturing enterprise, Al Ghurair Foods’ market presence has grown to over 50 countries with a customer base in 4 continents. Jenan is one its leading brands offering products in various categories that include Flour, Pasta, Edible Oil, Noodles, Poultry, Maize, Rice and Animal Nutrition(Fibers & Livestock Feeds, Mono-Gastric Feeds, Premixes).

Resources

Al Ghurair Resources focuses on Grains, Oils & Proteins and Pulses providing manufacturers and traders in the food, and bio-fuel industries with their agricultural raw material requirement; Grains (Wheat, Maize, Rice, Pulses, Barley) Proteins (Soybean Meal, Canola Meal, Soybean Hulls), and Oils (Crude and Refined Canola Oil, Soya Bean Oil, Sunflower Oil, Corn Oil as well as refined Palm Oils).Fibers (Bran, Oaten Hay, Alfa Alfa).

Construction

Al Ghurair Construction was founded over three decades ago and primarily focuses within Aluminium, Foundations, Marble, Masonry and Readymix. Projects to date include Burj Khalifa, Fairmont Hotel, Emirates Towers, Burjuman Centre, Dubai Metro, Etisalat, Kempinski Hotel, The Palm Jumeirah Marina Apartments and Dubai Creek Towers.

Properties

Al Ghurair Properties focuses on and participates in commercial, hospitality, residential and retail projects. One of its prominent brands is Al Ghurair City www.alghuraircity.com , a mix use development that caters to shopping, residential and commercial markets. Al Ghurair City was the first commercial family shopping destination in the UAE and one that hosts various international brand outlets. Other projects of Al Ghurair Properties include a residential development in Lebanon. This project is called Btaterwww.btater.com in Lebanon.

Al Ghurair Properties develops and manages commercial,residential, hospitality and mixed use developments. The projects range from an exclusive luxury living development in Lebanon called Btater" www.btater.com to apartments, hotels, retail venues and industrial buildings. The main mixed-use facility, Al Ghurair City www.alghuraircity.com in Dubai caters to retail, commercial and residential sectors. Mixed use Retail and Commercial sectors combined occupy a gross leasable area of 1,075,000 square feet. More specifically, the residential
portfolio encompasses various types of residential projects ranging from standalone accommodation to mixed use developments as well as luxury living complex. Commercial focus of Al Ghurair Properties is towards offices, warehouse and factory facilities. Retail initiative develops and managing retail properties. And the hospitality portfolio includes both Hotel properties and serviced apartments. The hotels are managed internally by the hospitality division Nojoum Hotels, as well as in collaboration with key players within the hospitality industry. The hotels and apartments offer guests a choice of short and long term stay.

Energy

Al Ghurair’s Energy initiative has been led through the partnership between TRASTA Energy and Libyan National Oil Corp (LNOC) with a share ownership of 220,000bpd at the Ras Lanuff Refinery since January 2008. With the main marketable refined products of LPG, Naphtha, Jet/Kero, gasoil and Fuel oil, that have been traded around the Mediterranean since 1984, this new joint entity operates under the name of Libyan Emirates Oil Refining Co. (LERCO)( http://www.lercorefinery.com/ www.lerco.com). The Energy initiative aims to further build another refinery in the region along with the full establishment of a marketing and trading entity that will spearhead Al Ghurair’s activities in the downstream sector. The company, which is named Al Ghurair Energy (AGE) aspires to be a full fledge trading company with activities leveraging from the support of these two refineries.

Printing & Publishing

Since 1978, Al Ghurair Printing & Publishing www.alghurairprinting.com has been servicing printing and publishing projects for customers and is one of the largest printing organizations in the Middle East. Main areas of focus are Designing, Prepress, Production, Binding & Finishing, Quality Control and Logistics.

Retail

Al Ghurair Retail www.agretail.ae is responsible for over thirty franchise outlets for three renowned brands: Springfield, Triumph and The Face Shop, in five countries across the Middle East. The company operates its own distribution and warehousing facility in Dubai, with a computerized warehouse management system delivering daily to stores.

Education

From elementary school to university level education, Dar Al Marefa www.daralmarefa.ae and Al Ghurair University are part of Al Ghurair's educational initiative. Dar Al Marefa is a school based in Dubai and provides a bilingual curriculum with a focus on social, physical and academic development. Furthermore, Al Ghurair University (AGU), based in Dubai, is a private higher educational institution that focuses on accredited bachelor degree programmes for students.
