Ahmad Al-Hassan al-Yamani (Arabic: احمد الحسن اليماني) Ahmad Al-Hassan al-Yamani used to live in Al Basra, a city in southern Iraq. He finished his academic studies and got a bachelors degree in civil engineering and then moved to the honorable Najaf and lived in it for the purpose of learning the religious knowledge. after his acquaintance upon the religious teachings and the religious educational curriculum of Hawzat al Najaf (a school of religious science), he found that the studying level is below average (He doesn’t say that’s according to him or his opinion). Also, he found that there is a big disorder in the curriculum as they study the Arabic language, logic, philosophy, the origin of Jurisprudence, the knowledge of speech, creeds and Jurisprudence ( the legitimate law), yet they never study the Quran or Sunna (Mohammed or the Imams narrations). Furthermore, they do not study the ethics of the divine which the believers should have.
And therefore, he decided to stay isolated in his house and study their knowledge by himself without seeking anyone’s help. He just kept in contact with some of them.
The reason that he has joined the school of religious science (Hawza) is because he saw a vision of Imam Al Mahdi and he ordered him to join the school of religious science in al Najaf. Also in the vision Imam Al Mahdi informed him with what was going to happen to him, and everything Imam Al Mahdi told him in the vision truly happened.
The mission started during the end of year 1999 in the school of religious science in Al-Najaf. It started to spread in public before the fall of the dictator Saddam Hussein by approximately 10 months. Also, the dictator Saddam Hussein tried to arrest and execute him, but this did not occur.
