Sheikh Nasir Ahmad, Abdul Latif Ahmad and Ghulam Bashir, were they met on 13. October 1946 first time in Zurich.

History

On 13 October 1946 brought together three missionaries of the AMJ, Sheikh Nasir Ahmad, Abdul Latif Ahmad and Ghulam Bashir in Zurich. The foundation of the Mahmud mosque was on 25 August 1962 by Amatul Hafiz Begum, daughter of the founder, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. The opening ceremony was on 22 June 1963 by Sir Muhammad Zafrullah Khan

, President of the 17th UN General Assembly and also opened in the presence of the mayor of Zurich, Dr. Emil Landolt. Currently, a second mosque in Wigoltingen is in plan. Until 1962 in Switzerland have been three significant priority tasks: The first edition of the Arabic-English edition of the Koran (1954), the creation and publication of the journal "Islam" and the construction of a mosque. The Ahmadiyya Movement of Islam in Switzerland (national organization of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat) has about 700 members and the emir (president) of this Jammat is Walid Tariq Tarnutzer and the Missionary Incharge Sadaqat Ahmed.
