Inc. It can be used to accelerate the process of creating screenplays and turning them into finished media. Adobe Story is capable of being integrated with Adobe Production Premium Suite.

Adobe Story is available both as a web-based application, and a desktop application. The desktop application helps you work on your scripts when offline, and sync up with the online version later.

Adobe Story is currently under development and available for preview.

Creating, importing, and editing scripts

Adobe Story can be used to create industry standard scripts. Users can also import scripts created in other software such as Microsoft Word, Final Draft, and Movie Magic, and edit them in Adobe Story. Auto-numbering helps assign scene numbers and shot numbers to scene and shot elements. Various tools in the script editor like smart type, and contextual toolbar help simplify the script creation process.

Organizing scripts as projects

Scripts and their related documents such as character biographies and synopses can be organized as Projects. Projects can be further classified into categories.

Collaborating with other members

All team members involved in the script-writing process can be provided with access to the script. Authors can assign roles that give team members the ability to read, review, or modify the script and access projects.

Exporting to popular formats

Scripts authored in Adobe Story can be exported to popular formats such as Adobe PDF, Microsoft Excel, and Final Draft. To take advantage of Adobe Story's integration with Adobe Production Premium Suite, scripts must be exported to the native Adobe Story format (ASTX).

Tagging information in scripts

Words and phrases related to production elements can be tagged. Tagged information in the script can be used to create reports, improve search of video content, and to create engaging experiences. Media houses can use tagged information in the script to monetize video content.

Creating engaging experiences

Adobe Story's Integration with production tools from Adobe can help reduce pre-production and post-production time. When an Adobe Story script is imported into OnLocation, metadata automatically created from the script helps better manage a shoot: shot lists are automatically generated, logging is expedited, and dialogue and other metadata from the script is embedded in the assets that is logged or captured.

When the OnLocation project and related assets are imported into Adobe Premiere Pro, the script and footage can be synchronized, and a preliminary rough cut can be prepared based on the dialogue transcript.

Tracking Changes

Adobe Story allows tracking changes on documents. The change is specially formatted to stand out from the rest of the text. The changes can be accepted or rejected by users with appropriate permissions. It is one of the ways that owners can have visibility and control over how their document is modified. Revision control
