Plot summary

Piece of My Heart is the 16th Inspector Banks novel by Peter Robinson. The novel interleaves the tale of Banks' investigation into the murder of a rock journalist with the vicious stabbing of a young woman (hence the title) at a late 1960s fictional rock festival. Both stories at based primarily in Yorkshire. The two plots at first appear to have little to do with one another but, as the book unfolds, the two stories become part of the same drama.
