A10 World Series is a proposed new Global Motorsport Series. The series is seen as a reincarnation of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport
A1 Grand Prix
A1 Grand Prix was a 'single make' open-wheel auto racing series. It was unique in its field in that competitors solely represented their nation as opposed to themselves or a team, the usual format in most formula racing series. As such, it was often promoted as the "World Cup of Motorsport"...

, 2 years after that series folded, with national teams racing against each other, and with drivers from their country racing for them. The series was to start in October 2011, with a new website being released in early 2011 giving people a feed of information on what they can expect when the series starts. The series is set to use the Powered by Ferrari A1GP cars with a new V10 engine with 600 bhp. However, as of September 17th, 2011, there have been no announcements on participating teams or an event calendar.

Races

The series announced plans for a a 10 event, 20 race calendar, with 2 races held every event. This would be similar to A1GP and GP2

with a 'sprint race' and 'feature race'. 2 practice sessions and a qualifying session would also be part of the weekend
