History

On February 6, 1952 the 325th Fighter-Interceptor Wing was deactivated and replaced by the activation of the 4704th Defense Wing. The 4704th DW absorbed all personnel, equipment and responsibilities of the 325th.

Mission to Train and maintain tactical flying units in state of readiness in order to defend Northwest United States. Unit was inactivated with equipment and personnel absorbed into 567th Air Defense Group
