Preliminary round

The first leg matches were played on either the 9th, 10th or 11 April 2010. The second leg matches were held on either the 23rd, 24th or 25 April 2010. The winners advanced to the First Round.

1Uganda beat Zambia 3–1 on aggregate, but were ejected from the competition for using overaged players after the Football Association of Zambia lodged an official complaint with CAF.

First round

The First Round first leg matches will be held on the 27th, 28th and 29th of August 2010. The second leg matches will be held on the 10th, 11th and 12 September 2010. The winners qualified for the Second Round.

Second round

The Second Round first leg matches will be held on the 6th and 7th of November 2010. The second leg matches will be held on the 20th and 21st of November 2010.The winners will qualify for the Finals at Rwanda from the 7th till the 22nd of January 2011.
  • the second leg between Réunion and Burkina Faso was pushed back to November 26.
