. It was basically identical to the Topps set, however it only had 396 cards instead of the 792 in the Topps set and had the Topps branding replaced with O-Pee-Chee branding. The cards were printed on lighter grey cardstock, featured bilingual backs, and some had added traded lines. Player cards had a picture in the middle, the upper 1/4 of the background was black (with the rest being white), the team name appeared across the top, the player name appeared across the bottom, and the player's position appeared in a small circle in the corner of the picture. were issued, but for no other teams. The Topps logo was covered over with a white box with black outline featuring the O-Pee-Chee logo. Size: 2½ × 3½ in.

Hockey

The 1986-87 O-Pee-Chee Hockey set was basically identical to the Topps set of the same year, however it had 264 cards instead of the 198 in the Topps set.
The set was issued in wax packs. Below the player photo is the player's name, position, team name and team logo. The bilingual backs have career stats and highlights. Size: 2.5 × 3.5 in.
The key rookie card of the set is Patrick Roy (#53). Other notable cards are rookies of John Vabiesbrouck (#9), Wendall Clark (#149), second year cards of Mario Lemieux, and Al MaCinnis and of course the Wayne Gretzky card of the set.
