Can someone put it into simple words?

How about this: string theory is based on the mathematical measurement from one point to another and how many measurements are possible before all area has been measured. Once you have done so in the Physical plane or every dimension most people are aware of..you then have to measure in space and time. The beginning and end of each point is the "singularity". Since the measurement proceeds in every direction the "strings' actually become part of an all inclusive 'membrane' which is all measurements in total. I am neither a physicist nor a scientist so my explanation could be completely wrong but it is how I understand it. This theory appears to explain matter and the mechanics of all matter.

Hell yes it is complex...I think there are nearly 15 accepted "String theories" each one different from the other by some ideas,not mentioning the numerous other "string theories" still waiting for approval from the scientific community.And still it couldn't predict a single event.I think it's all false.Now a days scientists aren't like the scientists of the past.They do not like their theories being disproved,and stick to stupid theories that don't have any evidence just to explain most of the occuring phenomena.Science has to change.Dark matter,Dark energy,Black hole singularities popped out of nowhere just to explain the occuring phenomena without any other proof.Science HAS to change/be revolutionised.We are in need of another Albert Einstein...

It's basically saying that one dimensional is an everlasting place in space without being a two dimensional figure.
